SCHEDULES

Opening General Assembly 9:00 am in auditorium for students, parents, and teachers.

Judges Meeting 9:00 am – Room TBA

Competition will begins at 9:30 am.

Schedules are subject to change. Revisions are often necessary and unavoidable. Please, visit this page or the Schedule page often between now and competition day for the latest revisions. Thank you for you flexibility and patience.



CHECK-IN

You are required to provide each judge for your performance or entry a hard copy of the Judges’ Form.

Individual entries require TWO judges forms.

Group entries require THREE judges forms.

Individual Check-In

Students may check in as early as 9:00. Upon arrival, all students will check in at the registration table in the lobby. Students should check in 30-60 minutes prior to their performance time. Maps of the building and schedules are posted throughout the building and online.

All instrumental students will check-in at the Fellowship Hall and use this room as their homeroom.

There will be warm up rooms available on a sign-in basis throughout the building. Warm up rooms are NOT to be used as hang out space.

Group/Director Check In

Only directors will check in their groups in the Main Lobby at the time of arrival. Maps of the building and schedules are posted throughout the building and online.

Art Check-In

Art projects are to be checked in between 9:00 – 9:30 am on the day of competition. Use the west door next to the main doors and proceed to the end of the hallway. NO Woodridge Music Academy staff members or art judges are permitted to transport art pieces to the competition site on behalf of other schools or groups.

*All paperwork must accompany the project. This includes the Artist Statement (linked below) and TWO Judges’ Forms. (See rules on website.)

Drama Check-In

Drama students will check in at the registration table in the Main Lobby.

*Drama students must have TWO type written scripts and TWO JudgesForms filled out to give to the judges upon performance. (See rules on website.)

Music Check-In

Music students will check in at the registration table in the Main Lobby.

*Music students must have original piece of music plus ONE photocopy with ALL measures numbered, and TWO Judges’ Forms filled out to give to the judges upon performance. (See rules on website.)

There will be warm up rooms available on a sign-in basis throughout the building. Warm up rooms are NOT to be used as hang out space.


Map

Maps of the building are posted throughout the building and online. The schedule is color-coded to coordinate with the map of Lifeway Baptist Church to aid the students in finding warmup and performance locations.  Maps of the building and schedules are posted throughout the building and online.  


Meal & Snack Options

Purchase from on-site Food Trucks

Food Trucks with affordable prices will be on-site just outside the gymnasium exit door to purchase lunch and/or dinner! Cash, debit and credit cards are accepted. Check out what they have to offer at the links below! These food trucks from 2023 and more, will likely be available in 2024!

WMA Cafe

Enjoy the purchase of snacks, baked goods (including, some gluten-free options), water, soda, and coffee at The WMA Cafe throughout the day! Cash, debit, and credit cards accepted.

 Please keep food and beverages in the gymnasium.  

Water bottles may be carried throughout the building.

Visit Local Restaurants

There are several restaurants within 5 minutes of the church premises and approximately 15-20 minutes into Bloomington. Please, plan accordingly to allow time to return for performances.

Bring Your Own Food

You are welcome to bring your own food to eat in the gymnasium or at the picnic tables outside. ***Note: No crockpots, please. Microwaves and other appliances will NOT be available for heating food from the outside.


Dress for Competitionperformance and non-performance

Young Men

For individual competition, young men need to wear dress shirt and tie, (suit coat optional), dress slacks, and dress shoes.

Young Ladies

For individual competition, young ladies may wear black dress slacks, or dress/skirt that comes to the top of the knee or longer, modest blouse, (no low-cut or see-through tops), and dress shoes.

Group Competition

Although not imperative, it is strongly encouraged that performing groups dress alike following the above guidelines.


Band and Choral Festival Concert

The host band and choir will dress in their standard concert attire. All other students participating in the festival will dress in full black or concert black and white.

Young Men

-white, long-sleeved dress shirt, black tie, black dress pants and shoes.

Young Ladies

-black dresses or white blouses/tops, black dress pants or skirts to the knee or floor with black tights, leggings, or hose, and black dress shoes.

Dress for Day of Competition When Not Performing

Young Men

Business casual (semi-dress slacks, collared shirt, or your group’s t-shirts.)

Young Ladies

Business casual (dress slacks or skirts, denim skirts, modest blouse/shirt.)
